Dear Readers,

Now that we are getting closer to finalizing our adoption, I've decided to take Lemonade and Gingerbread in a slightly new direction. I'm going to be focusing more on my journey home, the obstacles, the solutions, and anything else I find helpful along this journey. I also hope to encourage any fellow working moms who have some of the same desires.

God willing my plan is to stay home as of September 3rd 2013. I know this is the right thing for our family and that this is where God has been leading me over the last 4 years. He has opened my eyes to the glory of being a stay at home mom, homeschooling, and even homesteading.

I've added a ticker with the September 3rd date as a reminder of my goal. I think it will be fun for me and my followers to see if we can pull it off and what God has to say about this timing. One thing I've learned through our adoption process is that it's all in God's timing.

There are a few things that stand in our way but one at a time we will overcome them with God's help. I will be discussing these obstacles on Lemonade and Gingerbread as well as how we are working to solve them.

So won't you join me on this journey over the next 11 months and see what happens.
